Shortt night for Stephen Carroll in Scotland

Top Pro Gif Ad

Stephen ‘Shortty’ Carroll grabbed the first stoppage win of his career tonight in Scotland.

The Ballyfermot boxer was in action on the Prospect Boxing dinner card at the Alona Hotel in Motherwell and took on Scotch journeyman Darren Da Prato to open the show.

The bout was scheduled to take place over six rounds but the Dubliner however would need less than two to put his man away.

The inside-the-distance win sees Shortty stretch his unbeaten record to 4(1)-0, while Da Prato drops to 1(0)-11(6).

Next up for Carroll is an eight round fight on next month’s Prospect/Wilton show at the Europa Hotel in Belfast, for which a date will be confirmed in the very near future.
