Lauren Hogan loses out at European Championships

Top Pro Gif Ad
Lauren Hogan lost out this afternoon in her opening bout at the European Women’s Championships in Sofia.

The St Brigid’s Edenderry light flyweight lost out to Russian star Katerina Pinigiana in Bulgaria.

Making her debut at Senior Elite Intternational level, Hogan was competitive throughout in a close fight, but was edged in the end by her more experienced opponent.

Pinigiana’s greater industry on the day took the verdict, but Hogan found the target with some big shots throughout the contest, particularly in rounds two and four, a frame she won.

Grainne Walsh is in action later today against Marija Petovic.
