WATCH: Ray Moylette left furious with opponent following first round retirement

Ray Moylette scored another first round knockout last night in Boston, although he wasn’t happy with the finish.

The Mayo lighteight grabbed his maiden stoppage last weekend and followed it up with another early win at the Melrose Memorial Hall.

Boxing again on a Murphys Boxing card, Moylette took on New York danger man Bryan Abraham and, after a round of being dominated, his opponent would pull out citing a neck injury – much to Moylette’s disapproval.

It was a controlled three minutes from Moylette who hurt his opponent, staggering him twice, in the final minute. The fight most likely would not have gone on much longer had Abraham answered the bell for the second, but ‘Stong Ray’s’ frustration is understandable nonetheless.

The win sees the Islandeady man, who was cheered on ringside by the legendary Micky Ward, move to 4(2)-0 ahead of his Irish homecoming next month. Abraham drops to 6(6)-26(15)-2
