There’s no show like a Roe show

Something of an unknown quantity going into the bout, Bernard Roe proved tonight at the National Stadium that he is a real talent.

Making his home debut, the Dublin light middleweight confidently accounted for Pole Marcin Cybulski on the FS Promotions/Hatton Promotions ‘The Future’ card.

With Paschal Collins in his corner, the 25 year old put in a patient and mature display, showing sound fundamentals, impressive body work, and decent power

While the Eastern European had a reputation for being a puncher, it was Roe who landed the bigger shots and had his man down with a bodyshot late in the third. With his corner ready to throw in the towel, Cybulski was saved by the bell

The homecoming victory sees Roe stretch his unbeaten record to 4(0)-0, while Cybulski drops to 8(7)-7(2).
