Belfast’s Tyrone McKenna continued to build momentum tonight on the MGM Birmingham ‘Momentum’ show.

‘The Mighty Celt’ outpointed the durable Danny Little over six rounds at the Tudor Grange Leisure Centre for his second win in two months.

Continuing his move towards light welterweight, McKenna was in complete control throughout in Birmingham, using his skills and slickness to avoid being drawn into a scrap with the tough journeyman, and the mustachioed maestro took a 60:54 win on the referee’s scorecard.

McKenna moves to 11(3)-0-1 with the stylish win and will now target a big fight on the upcoming Belfast Boxnation show at the Titanic Exhibition Centre on November 5th. Little drops to 4(0)-20(3)-2 following his night’s work.
