Jono Carroll was dominant tonight on his MGM debut in Birmingham.

The Finglas-Dunshaughlin super feather was in action on the MGM Birmingham ‘Momentum’ show at the Tudor Grange Leisure Centre in Solihull and defeated tough Lithuanian Simas Volosinas.

Carroll, fighting for the first time since May, took all four rounds against the durable Baltic journeyman, teeing off at will to claim a 40:36 win on the referee’s scorecard.

The win sees 24 year old ‘King Kong’ Carroll move to 11(1)-0, while Volosinas was handed his fiftieth professional loss and falls to 6(1)-50(6).

Carroll will now look to get back into the ring as soon as possible after a stop-start period to his career following his sensational Prizefighter win in December 2014.
