‘Sugar’ Rea suffers defeat Down Under
THINGS didn’t go so sweet for Joe ‘Sugar’ Rea in Australia over the weekend.
The OZ based Ballymena puncher lost on points to undefeated middleweight prospect Michael Zerafa.
Rea brought the 14-0 fighter eight rounds but lost 80-72, 79-73, 79-73 on the judges score card. It’s Rea’s second defeat since relocating down under. The former Prizefighter contender lost to Rocky Jerkic two months ago after beating Eddie Lenart in his Australian debut.
