The Dublin school has taken a unique approach when it comes to naming each of their classes for their incoming first years – and it has resulted in a round about back-to-school moment for the Olympic gold medal winners.
The school has named its first-year classes after inspirational Irish sportswomen – and boxing accounts for two of the seven.
Alongside Rang Taylor and Rang Harrington are Rang Adeleke after record-breaking sprinter, Rhasidat Adeleke, Rang Keane after Para Olympic gold medal winner Ellen Keane, Rang O’Sullivan, Rang O’Rourke after athletes Sonia and Derbhla, Rang Blackmore after the jockey Rachel and Rang Maguire named with golfer Leona Maguire in mind.

It’s a gesture both Harrington and Taylor will delight in. Undisputed world lightweight champion Taylor who has all but single handily changed the face of boxing always rejoices in seeing young fighters achieve and Harrington is another who takes her role as a role model seriously and tries to lead by example and give back where she can.
