Downpatrick featherweight Paul Quinn makes his return to the ring at the weekend. ‘The Mighty’ had been sidelined by injury, but is now fighting fit and will trade leather at the Féile an Phobail in Belfast’s Falls Park.
On Saturday, Quinn faces Martin Mubiru over six rounds in what promises to be the toughest fight of his career so far.
Uganda’s Mubiru [10(6)-6(2)] has fought all over the world, including the Philippines, Japan, and South Africa, as well as challenging for continental honours.
Quinn acknowledges the challenge posed by Mubiru noting that “it’s a dangerous fight, a dangerous opponent – It’s make-or-break!”
