New fight date for momentum-building Tyrone McKenna

Belfast light welterweight Tyrone McKenna [10(3)-0-1] will return to the ring next month in England.

It has been announced that ‘The Might Celt’ will appear on the MGM Birmingham ‘Momentum’ show on Saturday September 24th at the Tudor Grange Leisure Centre in Solihull.

The new date certainly represents the building of momentum for the 26 year old southpaw who will fighting for the third time in four months.

Last time out McKenna began his move down towards 140lbs and comfortably outpointed the dangerous Chris Adaway in Cardiff.

Also appearing on the card next month will be English prospects Joe Sheriff, Natty Howell, Nicky Powell, and Karl Wiggins.

An opponent and the number of rounds will be announced in the near future.
