BELFAST’S Ryan Burnett has been handed a massive opportunity to progress his career after being handed a slot on a massive American undercard.
The Belfast bantamweight prospect will make his Stateside debut on a fight card topped by a clash between World Champion Danny Garcia and Lamont Peterson’s eagerly awaited clash.
Although it is unclear where the Adam Booth trained fighter will appear on the card the fight night will be broadcast live on terrestrial TV via NBC across America as part of the new Premier Boxing deal.
Regardless of whether or not the undefeated 22 year old will get air time he will be afforded the chance to impress a wider audience on the New York hosted card.
Burnett confirmed on social media today that he will have the chance to go 8-0 on April 11.
“Great news!!! Iv been chosen to fight in. New York on the undercard of Danny Garica vs Lamont Peterson April 11th,” he said.
