Tomorrow night in Dublin, Luke Keeler [11(5)-2(1)] will take on Lewis Taylor in the headline fight of the Red Corner Promotions ‘Unfinished Business’ card.
Taylor [19(3)-2(0)-1] is a former English champion and Commonwealth title challenger, and the Dronefield middleweight presents a very real test for Keeler in what is one of the best, most evenly-matched headline fights to take place in Dublin for a long while.
Bookmakers see the fight as a close one too, and have made Ballyfermot’s Keeler a small favourite for the National Stadium-hosted clash.
‘Cool Hand’ Luke is priced at 4/9 (general) for the win in the eight-round fight and is available at 8/15 with minor outlet sportingbet.
Taylor meanwhile can be had at 2/1 with Coral, Ladbrokes, SkyBet, and William Hill.
A draw in the Dublin duel is best-priced at 20/1 with sportingbet, Betway, 32Red, and 888.
Irish outlet Paddy Power are also offering odds for some of the undercard clashes.
Noely Murphy is priced at a prohibitive 1/200 for his BUI Celtic welterweight title clash with Galician Avelino Vazquez. The Spaniard is a 22/1 underdog with the draw being priced at 40/1.
Cork’s Murphy is 7/4 to win on points, while a stoppage is priced at 2/5. The corresponding odds for Vazquez are 66/1 and 25/1 respectively.
There is just a straight win market for Steve Collins Jr’s eight rounder with Pablo Sosa, and it is identical to the Murphy-Vazquez market.
Steve Collins Jr – 1/200
Pablo Sosa – 22/1
Draw – 40/1
Also featuring on the card will be Eric Donovan, Lynn Harvey, Chris Blaney, Connor Coyle, Jay Byrne, Allan Phelan. and debutant Thomas Finnegan.
Tickets cost €40 (unreserved) and €60 (ringside) and can be bought from the boxers on the bill.
