Amir Khan in New York to support Macklin

Amir Khan is backing Mattthew Macklin to become a world champion in Madison Square Garden tomorrow night.

The world light welterweight champ is in New York to support the Irish fighter and was one of a host of big names at today’s weigh in.

Speaking about tomorrows fight ‘King Khan’ said.

“I am here to give Matthew my 100 percent support. Matthew should already be a world champion. He should never have lost that fight in Germany, but you saw what happened to me in Washington, that’s boxing.  I am sure tomorrow night he will win the world title and bring it home.”
