VIDEO: If doesn’t get you in the mood for the Showdown at Thomond nothing will
The biggest fight to take place in Ireland is just over a month away.
Andy Lee puts his WBO middleweight title on the line against Billy Joe Saunders at the home of Munster Rugby Thomond Park on September 19.
Both Lee and Saunders are mid camp at the minute in preparation for the eagerly anticipated clash, but the Limerick world champ took time to tweet a brilliant video yesterday.
The southpaw helped whet the appetite for the clash further with this video which includes lines like
āIn life, if you have a fight on the street, itās an instant thing because someoneās hurt you, or upset you, or injured you in some way, and itās a reaction; pure emotion.
āBut for two men to say, āOh, hello, [nice to] meet you, letās sign a contract and in six weeks weāre going to fight in a certain venueā, itās an unnatural thing. Because thereās not that emotion, thereās not that instant there. Thereās nothing personal in it. Most boxers donāt have anything personal.
āIn saying that, there is an anticipation because you know the dateās there and you build towards it. And with that, the adrenaline comes because you know youāre getting closer to this one moment that youāve been waiting for for months, and usually thereās a lot on the line; not just your health, but money and prestige.
