Tszyu fight date for Darragh Foley

Darragh Foley [18(9)-4(0)1] has the chance to re enter the world rankings in December.

‘Super’ returns in an interesting fight on an interesting card Bankwest Stadium, Parramatta on December 16.

The Australian based Dub takes on undefeated prospect Ty Telford [6(2)-0-1] on the undercard of rising star Tim Tszyu’s first fight since his Jeff Horn win.

On the line when Foley fights the 23-year-old will be IBF, WBA and IBO ranking titles, meaning the Blanch native could go into 2021 back inthe world’s top 15.

It’s a progressive fight for the ever entertaining Foley on a high profile card.

Having secured a WBA world ranking, Foley took fights outside of Oz, taking on the likes of Chris Jenkins and Akeem Ennis Brown.

He returned to Australia after a no contest and a defeat before sampling all Irish action via a fight with fellow entertainer Tyrone McKenna.

After a fourth career defeat the 32-year-old was home defeating Jameson Bacon.

The light welterweight then agreed to fight Rio 2016 Olympic gold medal Fazliddin Gaibnazarov [8(5)-1(0)] in Kazakhstan on March 28.

The pandemic saw the fight with the Uzbek fighter fall through, but Foley will fight in Australia this year.
