Paul Hyland Jr flattens feeble Fekete on Dublin debut

Paul Hyland had an easy win on ‘The Future’ card National Stadium in Dublin last night.

The undefeated Belfast lightweight made his Dublin professional debut against Hungarian Lazlo Fekete on ‘The Future’ card at the famous South Circular Road venue, needing less than a round to stop the Central European.

Fekete flew out of the traps, throwing overhands from the back of the hall but was dropped by Hyland’s first shot of note, a fairly innocuous looking bodyshot.

‘Blade’ was chopped down twice more to the body, one ruled a slip, before the Belfast brawler closed the show with a brilliant left hook to the head which left Fekete crumpled on the canvas

The early win brings Hyland to 12(4)-0 and the 26 year old will be looking into title fights in the near future – perhaps with Michael Devine, who also appeared on this evening’s card. The outgunned Fekete drops to 15(10)-11(9).
