Opponent named for Feargal McCrory’s final four rounder

Tyrone lightweight Feargal McCrory [3(1)-0] gets fight number four under his belt next month in Belfast.

In what will be his last four rounder, the Coalisland puncher will feature on the MHD Promotions card at the Europa Hotel on Saturday February 4th. His opponent on the dinner show will be Hungarian journeyman Gyula Tallosi [12(8)-17(8)].

The Central European is known for being an unorthodox counter-puncher and has occasionally troubled prospects such as Chris Lawrence and Sanjeev Sahota. On his previous visits to Ireland, both of which came last year, Tallosi was stopped inside two by Dublin light welter Sean Creagh and handily outpointed over four by Belfast lightweight Joe Fitzpatrick. Other notable names on the Magyar’s record, all losses, include Joe Murray (TKO2), Rashid Kassem (KO2), Devis Boschiero (TKO4), and Boy Jones (KO2).

With Tallosi having recently shared the ring with Joe Fitzpatrick, who will also box on the show, there will be an element of comparison between the two Ulster lightweight southpaw prospects – both of whom want to move quickly through the ranks.

Also set to feature on the Paul Hyland Jr-headlind card are Jay Byrne and Ronnie Clark, while James Tennyson is also currently down to appear, – although that could change once a date for his Irish super featherweight title fight with Declan Geraghty is confirmed.
