O’Kane to face Taylor in Derry on May 2
LEWIS Taylor will provide the opposition for Eamonn O’Kane for his Homecoming clash on May2.
‘King Kane’ defends his IBF Intercontinental middleweight title at the Lavey Centre in a clash that is being built as an World title eliminator and the undefeated Taylor will man the opposite corner.
Taylor comes into the clash with a 16-0-1 record and on the back of only his second career KO victory, having stopped George Kandelaki last time out.
World ranked O’Kane has been heavily linked with a World title shot and if he records victory in May and Hassan N’Damn claims the crown he could well be afforded a 2015 shot.
The May 2 undercard looks set to be confirmed at a Derry press conference next weekend.
