Magnificent seven ride into European Youth battle today
No fewer than seven Irish boxers will compete for places in the European Youth quarters finals in Sofia today.
Boxing begins at 12pm and 4pm and seven Irish fighters will look to move within touching distance of a medal.
Lauren Dempsey-Fitzmaurice, Leah Gallen and Jake Tucker registered wins over Romania, Germany and Turkey respectively yesterday and a host will look to repeat the feat today.
Nicole Clyde, Niamh Fay, Dean Clancy, Brandon McCarthy, Evelyn Igharo, Lisa O’Rourke and Jack Marley are all in action.
