LEWIS CROCKER NAMED AS MANNY PACQUIAO OPTION FOR FURY-JOSHUA CARD

Lewis Crocker has been named as a potential Manny Pacquiao opponent by Eddie Hearn. As reported by Boxing News Online this morning, the Belfast welterweight is one of four names Hearn has put forward as a possible opponent for the Filipino legend. Jack Catterall, Conor Walker, Lewis Crocker and Joe Cordina were all mentioned by the Matchroom promoter. “If you need an opponent for Manny Pacquiao, we’ve got Jack Catterall, Conor Walker, Lewis Crocker and Joe Cordina,” Hearn said.

Crocker’s inclusion puts the Belfast man into the conversation for a potential blockbuster appearance on the Fury-Joshua card. A showdown with Pacquiao would undoubtedly represent a huge opportunity for Crocker and would take him onto a global stage against one of boxing’s biggest names. Hearn also discussed Cordina as a potential option, although he admitted he has not spoken to the Welshman about moving up to 147lbs. There is no suggestion that Crocker-Pacquiao is agreed or currently in negotiations. But with Hearn now publicly naming Crocker as an option, the Belfast welterweight has officially entered the conversation.
