John O’Donnell to fight in British Title eliminator

London-based Galway welterweight, John O’Donnell [ 29(11)-2(1)], will partake in a British Title eliminator in November. The 29 year old’s promoter, Goodwin Boxing, have won the purse bids to stage the fight between O’Donnell and Welshman, Dale Evans [10(3)-2(1)-2], at the York Hall on November 7th.

Southpaw O’Donnell is a former Commonwealth champion having defeated Craig Watson for the belt back in 2009. The Tribesman rematched Watson in 2011 for the vacant British belt, losing a close decision. In May, O’Donnell made a return to the ring after nearly two years, winning an eight round points decision in Derry.

Ahead of the eliminator, a confident O’Donnell has promised that “I’m gonna take him apart.”
