Jamie Kavanagh signs four-fight deal with MGM Marbella

Dublin Lightweight, Jamie Kavanagh [18(9)-1(1)-1], has signed a four-fight contract with fledgling promotional outfit MGM Marbella.

Spanish-speaking Kavanagh recently signed a managerial deal with Daniel Kinahan and will now also be promoted by the Puero Banús outfit.

The 25 year old will train in London with the highly regarded duo of Jimmy and Mark Tibbs.

Kavanagh, who has spent the entirety of his career fighting under Golden Boy Promotions, has moved back to this side of the Atlantic after rejecting a contract extension with the American promoter.

Kavanagh believes that his career spent fighting tough Mexican will stand to him on the British and Irish domestic scene where there are any number of potential opponents.

Kavanagh will soon box, as a pro, in his native Ireland for the first time on one of the many MGM Promotions-Boxnation shows planned for the Emerald Isle – hopefully before the end of the year. First however, Kavanagh is aiming to appear on a Frank Warren shows in Britain before the end of September.
