Jake Hanney signs new deal ahead of Tyrone McKenna showdown

Ahead of the biggest fight of his career so far, Dubliner Jake Hanney [5(4)-0] has signed a new promotional and managerial contract.

Hanney will challenge for the BUI Celtic light welterweight title currently held by Tyrone McKenna [12(4)-0-1] on the February 18th Belfast Boxnation show at the Waterfront Hall on Saturday February 18th.

Ahead of this, the East Wall fighter has put pen to paper on a deal to join the growing It’s A Bout Boxing Ireland roster.

‘The Wizard’ joins Crank Whitehouse, Stephen Carroll, Barry Barnes, Regan Buckley, John Joyce, and Dylan McDonagh in the new stable.

While unconfirmed, it would seem likely that Hanney will appear on the inaugural It’s A Bout Boxing show, ‘Táimid Laochra,’ which is set to take place at the National Stadium on Saturday April 1st.
