Ireland v England clash confirmed for Frampton-Quigg Undercard

The first major clash on the massive Carl Frampton v Scott Quigg undercard has been today confirmed.

Belfast flyweight Luke Wilton will do battle with rising Matchroom star Charlie Edwards in a British title eliminator.

Wilton [16(7)-4(1)-1] unsuccessfully challenged Kevin Satchell for the British strap in 2013.

22 year old Edwards [6(3)-0] is the current English champion and a former European bronze medalist in the amateur game.

The winner of the bout at the Manchester Arena will be in line to face the winner of the eliminator between Ian Butcher and Andrew Selby for the belt later this year.

With further bouts to be confirmed in the coming weeks, Irish stars such as Jono Carroll, Luke Keeler, Marco McCullough, Anto Cacace, and Conrad Cummings will all be hoping that they will get the nod to appear on the PPV show.
