IN PICTURES – Katie Taylor vs Natasha Jonas

Katie Taylor and Natasha Jonas served up a classic on Saturday night.

The former amateur rivals generated 113.7 decibels of noise at the ExCel Arena when they meet during the 2012 Olympics – and such was their show-stealer in Manchester, that if crowds had been allowed to attend they’d have smashed that record.

There was guile and guts, skill and will, fight and flair and plenty of entertainment as a result.

Chief support to the Derek Chisora v Joseph Parker pay-per-view at the AO Arena, the Bray lightweight slugged it out with old rival and edged home in thrilling fashion.

A bout nine years in the making, Taylor and ‘Miss GB’ went to war once again with the Irishwoman again coming out on top thanks to a 96-94, 96-94, 95-94 scorecard.

Matchroom’s Mark Robinson and Dave Thompson some amazing pictures of the fight as well as pre and post action.
