Dublin show must go on-promoters looking for suitable top of the bill

STEPHEN Ormond might not be topping the bill but the Dublin summer show must go on and the event organisers are looking for a suitable top of the bill.

Pascal Collins and the Celtic Gym had hoped to run a Home Coming card for the WBO European champion, but the Dublin lightweight will now fight in September in a move that should put him in line for a World title shot.

However, Collins is keen to get Ormond’s stable mates Luke Keeler, Ian Tims and David McGuire some ring action before the season ends.

So Team Celtic Warrior will put on a show, but the venue remains dependent on what fight they can get on the top of the bill.

“We will still put on a show,” said Collins. “We want to keep our fighters busy and will have them in good entertaining fights. However, if we get a big fight on the top of the bill that would be great. We are open to suggestions, maybe we can do something with Spike (Gary O’Sullivan).”
