Burnett joins McCarthy on Glasgow World title card

Ryan Burnett will add Irish interest to the Sky broadcast Glasgow card on May 28.

The WBO and WBC International bantamweight champion will be looking to push his slate to 14-0 against a yet to be confirmed opponent.

The much vaunted Belfast man is on the verge of bringing the Sky camera’s back to Belfast and a good performance will certainly persuade Matchroom to cement that move.

Exciting talent Burnett appears on the a card that includes Ricky Burns in a World title fight, a good trade fight between Tyrone Nurse and Willie Limond as well as Conor Benn’s second pro fight.

However Irish fight fans will be more interested in Burnett’s clash and a break through fight for Tommy McCarthy.

McCarthy fights John Lewis Dickinson in a British title eliminator on the same card.
