WBA light welterweight world champion, Amir Khan is overlooking and underestimating Paul McCloskey, according to Dudeys trainer John Breen.

Breen has been shocked by some of the reigning champions actions and comments over the last two weeks and believes Khan is threading on dangerous ground. The Bolton native just stopped short of calling Saturdays world title fight a warm up for a massive unification with Timothy Bradley after a tense press conference yesterday.

In fact so confident is Khan of overcoming the Derry stylist’s challenge that he has already agreed date for a clash with WBO and WBC ring king Bradley. The Irish Trainer of the Year for 2009, however is adamant McCloskey will punish Khan for committing such a cardinal boxing sin. Breen stressed Khan is in for a shock come Saturday night. The Belfast based trainer also claims he was surprised that Freddie Roach allowed Khan to leave his Philippine based training camp and return to England nearly two weeks before the fight.

Amir Khan is underestimating Paul McCloskey. There is no doubt about that. He sees Paul as a one or two round payday. That is obvious considering how early he came back to Britain and what has been saying since. I am more surprised at Freddie Roach to be honest. I dont understand how they can talk about Timothy Bradley never mind have a deal in place before a punch with Paul has been thrown. It is a big mistake and more fool them. They will be in for a shock Saturday night.

Breen, who will also have Andy Murray in MEN action on Saturday night, reckons the former Olympian will be get a bit of a wake up call before the fight.

McCloskeys trainer stressed his charge is in amazing physical shape and pointed out Khan as well as all those who commented on a McCloskeys bulk disadvantage at yesterdays press conference will be shocked when the undefeated European champion disrobes and gets on the scales today.

Amir and the world will be surprised when they see Paul at the weigh in. He is the best shape of his career and he goes into this fight with a body like never before. He has always been fit but he is bulked up now.
