Sean Turner wants to trade swapping verbal blows with Martin Rogan for trading blows of a more volatile kind before the Summer is out.
The former friends and sparring partners have been insulting each other for up to eight months now and Turner, who fights in Spain tonight, is keen for the pair to settle their differences in the ring.
‘Big Sexy’ is adamant he is ready for ‘Big Rogie’ indeed he claims he would have defeated the former Commonwealth champion on his debut.
“What about at the end of the Summer I would like it then,” Turner told Irish-boxing.com.
“The end of the Summer lets see what he has to say to that.”
“People say I haven’t done six (rounds) yet and it might be a jump up, but I am more than ready for Roggie we both know it. I was ready for him in my first fight I would have beat him on my debut. He knows it and I know it.
44 year old Rogan, had previously stated he was up for the clash and was also name dropping Sam Sexton as a potential comeback fight.
However, the popular big man, who hasn’t seen the inside of a competitive ring since 2014, has recently indicated Turner doesn’t interest him anymore.
‘Big Sexy’ dismissed such talk and puts it down to ‘games’.
“Roggie says he doesn’t want it now, but Roggie says a lot. He is a mouthpiece and he is playing games. I think that is a big fight and a good money fight. Roggie is all about the money he would take it. No way he would turn it down.”
