He has traded twitter blows with the likes of Jason Gavern and even friend Martin Rogan over the last number of weeks, but Sean Turner doesn’t see himself exchanging punches with either prospective foe before the year is out.
Indeed, ‘Big Sexy’ has his sights set on a different target and would like recent Niall Kennedy opponent Yavor Marinchev.
Turner, who made it five stoppages from seven wins in the Stadium on Saturday night stopping Gabor Farkas within a round, was in attendance as former amateur foe Kennedy out pointed the Bulgarian big man at the Red Cow just 24 hours before he extended his unbeaten record.
The MGM prospect believes Manrinchev, who took David Price the distance, but was stopped by Rogan, has the ability to bring him rounds.
Turner is adamant the Rogan clash is inevitable, but feels the battle of the Irish big men needs a little time to simmer. He also suggests he would love the chance to knock Gavern out, but indicated he doesn’t want to pay the former Anthony Joshua foe to come over and lie down.
“I wouldn’t mind fighting the lad Niall Kennedy fought last night,” Turner said on Saturday.
“He looks tough and he is game. He would be ideal for me next.”
