Keeler moves into double figures with Birmingham win
Luke Keeler went to double figures in terms of wins as his hand was raised in Birmingham on Saturday night.
The 28 year old Dublin middleweight out pointed Adam Jones on the undercard of Sam Egginton and Bradley Skeete’s Sky broadcast fight.
Jones last bout against Dublin opposition ended in a win as he out pointed Anthony Fitzgerald in the same city last year and seemed determined to cause another Irish upset.
The young English puncher was game throughout, but Keeler showed his class with a 60-55 win that was more earned than routine.
The Ballyfermot native, who ended a nine month ring absence with the win, will now be looking to progress to an eight rounder next time out and certainly has title ambitions in what he hopes will be a busy 2016.
