WATCH: McGregor and Malignaggi involved in heated verbals in Vegas

There was drama last night at the official ‘arrivals’ in Las Vegas for the Floyd Mayweather v Conor McGregor superfight this Saturday.

The pair clash in a light middleweight twelve rounder at the T-Mobile Arena on Saturday night, live on Showtime PPV and Sky Box Office, and the fighters were unveiled today under the desert sun

Of course, the event was not without its fair share of controversy as former two-weight champ and recent McGregor sparring partner Paulie Malignaggi became embroiled in a confrontation with the Irishman.

Malignaggi, who will provide punditry on Saturday, sought to speak with McGregor’s manager Audie Attar and this would spark a shouting match.

Attar accused ‘The Magic Man’ of breaking his non-disclosure agreement due to his outspoken interviews following the controversial spars, from which compromising photos of the New Yorker were released. McGregor would get involved, telling Malignaggi that he got his “ass whupped,” while the Brooklyn man chided McGregor, reminding him to “bring your balls on Saturday night,” before being removed from the scene by local law enforcement.

The confrontation adds further fuel to a slowly-burning fire, with Malignaggi being hopeful to face ‘The Notorious’ on St Patrick’s Day in New York next year.
