Watch – ‘Irish Drago’ Paul McCullagh’s debut stoppage

Paul McCullagh got his pro career off to the perfect start on Sunday.

The 20-year-old managed to get rounds under his belt and register a stoppage win as he punched for pay for the first time.

‘The Irish Drago’ hurt Ben Thomas in the first and second round before forcing the referee to call a halt to proceedings in the third.

Thomas was down down twice in the third stanza before the referee waved off proceedings.

None of the Belfast light heavyweight’s supporters could take in the fight ringside, due to the pandemic – and most missed the stoppage as the stream failed post the second round.
