WATCH: “I’m going to send us all home happy!” – Frampton thanks unbelievable support at weigh-in

If last night’s weigh-in is anything to go by, the atmosphere at the MGM Grand Garden Arena for Carl Frampton’s WBA featherweight title rematch with Leo Santa Cruz will be something special.

‘The Jackal Army’ descended on the venue and were in fine voice throughout.

Speaking immediately after tipping the scales at 125lbs, Frampton described how “last year was huge, I was very grateful and honoured to share a ring with such a great champion in Leo Santa Cruz and I’m glad to be kicking off 2017 in the same way

The Frampton fans yesterday left U.S. observers, and indeed Frampton regulars, awestruck. The Belfast man was hugely grateful for the support and told them that “I just want to say thank you to each and every person who has come out. I really appreciate it, I truly appreciate it, and I’m going to send us all home happy.”

“I think the fans enjoyed our fight last time, and should expect more of the same on Saturday night. It’s going to be an outstanding fight.”
