The Coalisland middleweight faces German Ronny Mittag [28(14)-2(0)-1] for the IBF Inter-Continental belt at the Wembley Arena.
The fight will be screened live on Spike TV/Channel 5 as part of the undercard for George Groves v Eduard Gutknecht.
Cummings came in at 159.8lbs, while Mittag was very fractionally over the weight and should easily shed the excess.
The bout will be the first where Cummings will have to adhere to a rehydration limit, needing to come in at 170lbs or below tomorrow morning per IBF rules. However, considering coach Shane McGuigan’s experience making the IBF check-weight with stable-mate Carl Frampton, which he has successfully completed all eight times he fought in IBF-sanctioned fights, it is not imagined that this will be a problem.
Following the weigh-in the pair shared a steely-eyed stare-down, before a more jovial moment seconds letter where Cummings forgot to shake the hand of his opponent and returned to give him a sporting embrace.
