Jason Gavern has a big problem with Big Sexy and wants to tee off on the Dublin heavyweight.
The journey man, who has shared the ring with Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder of late, has been incensed like never before by former Irish amateur champ Sean Turner and has almost begged MGM to make the fight so he can teach the Irish prospect a lesson.
Gavern (27-20-4) took exception to some Twitter comments Turner made and wants to dish out punishment as a form of revenge.
“For the record I want fight Sean Turner from Ireland. Give me a solid training camp and I want to go toe to toe and tee off on this guy,” Gavern, who steps in as a late replacement for Ritchie Towers in Sheffield this weekend told BaylorIC TV.
“I never heard of this guy, one day on twitter he started talking some and disrespected me. When I say this kid hasn’t fought anybody look at his last opponents they are like 7-40 and he takes them four to six rounds.”
Turner, who has also had beef with Martin Rogan and others since turning over, had previously said he would love to fight the American, but claims his promotional team were worried the now journey man would travel for a pay day and fall down within a round.
However, the 38 year old says such is his desire and confidence he can beat the big punching Turner that he would part take in a winner takes all battle of the big men.
“Please send me the contract. Lets get the fight done. If you are worried about the money or me coming over to fall down I will give you my whole cheque if you beat me. Please just get this fight made so I can punch you in the face.”
“It would love that fight. Sean Turner I am going to bust your face up. This is the first time in the career I have been like this. This is my 52 fight and I have never been like this, but this little fat kid I want to punch him in the face.”
