Viewing details for Katie Taylor’s U.S. debut

Katie Taylor [5(3)-0] makes her American debut tonight – but, for Irish fans, watching the fight live will be a bit of a challenge.

The Bray lightweight appears at the Barclays Centre in New York on the massive Mikey Garcia v Adrien Broner card where she will take on Texan Jasmine Clarkson [4(0)-8(0)].

Taylor is due to box at 7:30pm local time (12:30am Irish time) and this leads to some problems on this side of the Atlantic.

Sky Sports Main Event begin coverage of the card at 1:00am Irish time, meaning the Taylor fight will be in progress or, most likely, already finished.

The broadcaster intends to show deferred coverage of Taylor so, to watch the fight live, Irish fans will have to use alternate means.

Taylor’s fight is part of the streamed portion of the broadcast alongside the heavyweight clash between Jarrell Miller and Gerald Washington. These fights will be shown on the Showtime Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube from 12:15am (Irish time).

However, these streams are geoblocked and will only be available to viewers located in America.

For fans in Ireland and the U.K to access these streams and watch the Wicklow woman live they would need to use a VPN (virtual private network) such as the free ‘Hola’ extension which can be found in the Google Chrome store.
