Victory will give him a top 15 World ranking and thus make him eligible for the winner of Terry Flanagan and Derry Matthews WBO lightweight World title fight.
The 25 year old doesn’t envision a shot straight away -Tom Stalker has been muted as a potential future foe, but believes victory, which he is confident of getting, will create a clear path toward the ultimate goal.
Speaking to Irish-boxing.com Kavanagh also discussed fighting in Dublin for the second time, effectively topping the bill and the lightweight division.
