Tyrone McKenna’s manager calls for another All-Irish clash on Cyclone November 20th show
Tyrone McKenna’s manager, former pro Mark Ginley, has called for his charge to be involved in another All-Ulster scrap on the undercard to Conrad Cummings and Alfredo Meli. The middleweights meet on a massive Cyclone Promotions show at the Waterfront Hall on November 20th – and Ginley feels that McKenna [9(3)-0] against Belfast rival Matt Wilton [11(3)-0] would be the perfect addition to the undercard.
Outlining his views on social media, Ginley said:
Good chat tonight with @Tyronemck hope to get him a fight soon!Hopefully a slot on @CyclonePromo show #waterfront he would love Matt Wilton

Wilton has good relations with Cyclone and is due to appear on their ‘Lift Off’ show in Edinburgh on October 16th. A fight between the two unbeaten welterweights would generate massive local interest and, as a “somebody’s 0 has got to go” clash, it would fit in with the ‘All on the Line’ title of the show.
McKenna had previously called for a step-up in class when he appeared on the Féile Fight Night during the Summer, however one could not be secured. Wilton would definitely provide this.
Wilton himself would assumedly have no problems taking the fight considering that he had signed to face Matty McAllister for the BBBoC Celtic title on October 16th before the Scot withdrew.
We will await news of the potential All-Irish clash with great interest.
