Titles coming soon promises Tyrone McKenna

Tyrone McKenna believes that he is close to challenging for titles. ‘The Mighty Celt’ fights on August 1st at the Féile an Phobail in Belfast’s Falls Park where he hopes to extend his record to nine fights unbeaten.

Speaking exclusively to irish-boxing.com, welterweight McKenna feels that “when we get to 10 and 0, 11 and 0, I’ll try get a few titles.”

Currently unsigned, the tall southpaw knows that “once you get to 10 and 0, you can go to promoters.”

Ahead of the fight, the 25 year old has spent time in England sparring Tommy Coyle. Here McKenna has been tasked with replicating Olympic gold medalist Luke Campbell, high praise for the Belfast man.
