Titanic Showdown weigh in to take place in Iconic Ulster Hall

The weigh-in for the Kiko Martínez vs Carl Frampton IBF World Super Bantamweight title fight will take place at 1pm on Friday the 5th of September in Belfast’s iconic Ulster Hall.

Martínez vs Frampton 2, ‘TITANIC SHOWDOWN’, is the biggest Boxing event to ever take place in Northern Ireland and it is only fitting that an event of such magnitude should have its weigh-in at a venue that has been at the heart of all things Boxing in Belfast since the nineteenth century.

The epic World title contest takes place on Saturday the 6th of September at a purpose built 16,000-seater arena outdoors at Titanic Belfast, in the city’s historic Titanic Quarter. Friday’s weigh-in at the Ulster Hall is sure to be a heated affair as Carl ‘The Jackal’ Frampton regularly attracts close to a thousand fans to his pre-fight tipping of the scales.

With the World title on the line for this eagerly anticipated rematch against IBF champ Kiko Martínez, the Ulster Hall is sure to be jammed to the rafters and rocking to a chorus of Jackal fans. ‘La Sensación’ Martínez is famed for his aggressive nature at weigh-ins but he will have to be a brave man to antagonise Belfast’s Boxing star Frampton in front of such vociferous support.

Doors open at 11.30 am at the Ulster Hall for the weigh-in for ‘TITANIC SHOWDOWN’, with the undercard weigh-in proceedings commencing at 12 noon. Entry is free for the weigh-in but it is a first come, first serve entrance process.

Titanic Showdown is supported by the Northern Ireland Executive and Belfast City Council. Sponsors include Belfast Telegraph, Budget Energy NI, Danske Bank, Hastings Europa Hotel, JD Wetherspoon, DBW Global and Sunday Life.
