Team Ireland back in camp next week

Ireland’s boxers will return to training next week following their heroics at the European Games in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The squad begin preparations for August’s European Elite Men’s Championships in Bulgaria.

The 2015 Continental tournament is a qualifier for October’s AIBA World Men’s Elite Championships in Doha, Qatar, which is a qualifier for the Rio 2016.

Boxing at the 2015 European Championshis begins in 38 days time on August 7th.

Irish boxing has won nine medaals, five of which have been gold, at the last three European Elite Men’s Championships and have finished in top three places in the medals table on each occasion.
