OLYMPIC champion Katie Taylor register two wins in 48 hours over the weekend.
Taylor got the weekend off to a great start recording a unanimous points win over Sweden’s Patricia Bergut in Fermoy Cork on Friday night.
The Bray woman then beat former Belgium international Oshin Derieuw on points in Limerick on Sunday night.
Derieuw was given a standing eight count in the second round after Taylor caught her clean with a left hook, but made it to the final bell.
Taylor used the two bouts to get some competitive action before she travels to Jeju Island, South Korea for the AIBA Women’s Elite World Championships. The greatest female fighter on the planet will be looking to add a fifth World gold medal to her ever growing collection of medals.
