Spike to face ‘Slow Motion’ Smith in American tonight

LARRY Smith will provide the opposition for Gary O’Sullivan has he trades leather in American on Thursday night.

‘Spike’ gets his Ken Casey and Murphy’s Boxing career underway in Memorial Hall, Melrose, Massachusetts in a six round contest.

Smith is an experienced fighter, but shouldn’t cause the Cork middleweight to many problems. ‘Slow Motion’ has ten wins from 36 fights, but has only been stopped five times in 25 losses giving the Celtic Warrior Gym warrior a chance to make a mini statement by stopping the 36 year old within six rounds.

The Smith bout will be the first of many for ‘Spike’ stateside over the coming months as the Pascal Collins trained 160 lbs fighter hopes to fight at least three times over the next three months.
