PETER Quillin says he is coming to unbuckle the WBO middleweight title from around the waist of Andy Lee and bring it home.
‘Kid Chocolate’ who Lee faces in New York most likely on April 11, was once the custodian of the title the Limerick man won in December and the undefeated 31 year old wants it back.
The New Yorker won the title by defeating Irish managed Hassan N’Dam and made three successful defences before vacating rather than face Matt Korobov just before Christmas.
Lee stepped in landed a right hook in round six and became an Irish fighting legend as a result. However, Quillin wants his belt back and is confident he will re buckle it around his waist come April 11.
“Not taking away from what Lee has accomplished in his career,” said Quillin, “but I’m just coming to take my title back.”
