Q and A with Big Sexy- I am the best Heavyweight in Ireland

Cathal Jennings talked to undefeated Irish heavyweight Sean Turner this week. See what ‘Big Sexy’ has to say about Tyson Fury, Prizefighter and how he believes he can become champion of the World.

CATHAL JENNINGS: What has it been like sparring and training with Tyson Fury?

SEAN TURNER: My time with Tyson Fury was a great experience he thought me a thing or two and it was also world class sparring and preparation for my last fight.

CJ: What have you learned from training with the Fury’s?

SEAN TURNER: I’ve learned a lot, I’ve learned that you can’t knock every man out you fight especially a 6’9 foot man. I’ve learned to pick my shot’s and to work the body with bigger guys like Tyson Fury.

CJ: Would you like a chance in Prizefighter if it was offered to you?

SEAN TURNER: If Eddie Hearn offered me a shot at Prizefighter I would take it with both hands.

CJ: What do you think of the Irish heavyweight scene?

SEAN TURNER: Well at the moment we don’t have many professional heavyweight’s but I’m going to open the Irish fans eyes to the next best heavyweight like Martin Rogan has done in the past the Irish crowd love a good fighting heavyweight.

CJ: Do you think you can clean up the Irish heavyweight scene?

SEAN TURNER: Already I’m the best Irish heavyweight in the country and I will be here for a long time.

CJ: How have recovered since you were stabbed and how did that set you back?

SEAN TURNER: I’ve recovered 100%. I’ve come back fitter and stronger than ever.

CJ: You have trained with Tyson Fury, do you think when he faces Klitschko he will become the new heavyweight champion?

SEAN TURNER: I think Tyson is the next best thing in the heavyweight division and it will be a tough, hard fight but my money will be on Tyson Fury.

CJ: You are good friend’s with Martin Rogan would you ever consider stepping in the ring with him?

SEAN TURNER: Business is business but as I have only had a few 4 round fight’s it will be a while before I’d be ready to fight 10/12 round fight. It would be a great fight for fans but I don’t think this fight will ever happen as I’m only starting my career and he’s coming close to the end of his great career.

CJ: What do you think of the new heavyweights on the scene for example Anthony Joshua, Hughie Fury?

SEAN TURNER: Joshua is looking good he’s getting better every fight but he has not been hit back or tested yet. Hugie Fury is a great boxer and will go far in the sport he had a tough fight recently which he won by unanimous decision.

CJ: How far do you think you can go in the boxing game?

SEAN TURNER: I am going to give it my all, I’m going to go as far as possible. I have the skills, I have the power I’ll be going to the top. I will be a World Champion some day.
