Prepare to be AMAZED – Chino Maidana warns Katie Taylor ahead of latest defence
Former two-weight world champion and fan favourite nonsense puncher Marcos Maidana is backing Karen Elizabeth Carbajal [19(2)-0] to shock the world on Saturday night.
The Argentine, who shared the ring with the likes of Floyd Mayweather, Virgil Ortiz, Amir Khan, Eric Morales and is famous for upsetting brash Adrain Broner, promotes the latest challenger to Katie Taylor’s undisputed crown.
Taylor [21(6)-0] puts her titles on the line against Burbuja on top of a Wembley Arena-hosted bill this week and ‘Chino’ warns his charge isn’t just coming over for a payday, claiming she has shock the world plans.
“We travel to London with our undefeated warrior and we will shock the boxing world,” said Maidana.
The Irish Icon is massive favourite going into the DAZN broadcast clash. Having defeated decorated fighters like Jessica McCaskill, Delfine Persoon, and of course Amanda Serrano among others, not many expect the Argentine 32-year-old to test possibly the greatest female fighter of all time.

The fighter herself is full of confidence and promises to take the undisputed lightweight world champions’ four belts back to Argentina.
“I was very happy when I received the offer to challenge Katie,” said Carabajal. “The hard work has paid off. I’m not thinking for a second about giving Katie a win. All the belts with come back to Argentina with me!”
