Ormond to fight durable foe on New Beginnings Card

STEPHEN Ormond will fight in Dublin for only the fourth time as a professional on July 4th as part of the Macklin’s Gym Marbella/Boxnation card.

MGM have today announced that the Clondalkin man will face durable Pole, Jacek Wylezol [12(7)-9(2)], in a scheduled eight rounder.

Wylezol recently took world rated Englishman Stephen ‘Swifty’ Smith the distance and he will offer a stiff test to Ormond when the two meet in the National Stadium next weekend.

Titled ‘New Beginnings’, the show is indeed a new beginning for 32 year old Ormond who looks to get his career back on track after his disqualification loss to Terry Flanagan in February.
