Nolan impressive in reaching European Games quarters

2012 Olympian Adam Nolan has put himself within touching distance of a first major international medal with an impressive victory in the Last 16 of the European Games.

The Wexford Garda gave a measured performance, outclassing Dario Morello of Italy – winning 30-27 on all three judges’s scorecards

Morello, a WSB fighter previously beaten by Steven Donelly, could not handle the accurate counterpunching of the Bray BC southpaw.

28 year old Nolan is now one win away from guaranteeing himself a bronze medal at the inaugural European multi-sport event.

Nolan fights in his quarter final bout on Tuesday against the winner of Josh Kelly (Great Britain) v Mahamed Nurudzinau (Belarus) who fight tomorrow.
