New Lowell opponent confirmed for O’Sullivan

David Toribio will provide the opposition for Gary ‘Spike’ O’Sullivan as he fights in America for the fourth consecutive time next week.

‘Spike’ fights on the undercard of a Murphy’s Boxing-promoted ‘Premier Boxing Champions’ show at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium on October 10th.

The middleweight, who has been heavily linked with a December 12 Chris Eubank Jr clash, was initially due to defend his WBA-NABA title against Francisco Cordero, a fighter with 22 knockouts from 32 wins.

However the Colombian pulled out last week and former Dominican Champion Toribio has stepped in.

Toribio’s has a 21-15 record and stopped O’Sullivan’s last opponent Melvin Betancourt to claim his domestic title back in 2010.
